House Season 8 Episode 1: Twenty Vicodin

Season 8 opens a year after House drove his automobile in to Cuddy's house, & he is in jailtrying to diagnose an ill fellow inmate without breaking jail rules, an work that complicates life for clinic physician Jessica Adams (Odette Annable). Meanwhile, when a jail gang leader threatens House, they must seek the help of another inmate (Jaleel White).

However, by the 15th or the 16th episode, the show started becoming a tiny boring, because there was not very any story in the show ( the fabulous acting as well as a whole bunch of medical stuff that went over my head). While i was somewhere in the midst of the second season, i stopped watching the show. After about 8-odd months, a mate of mine, who made it through the second season told me that the show gets better after the second season, & so, i started watching it again. After that, I seldom had to looked back. The show became increasingly fascinating with a positive storyline coming in to picture & Hugh Laurie became my hero!

Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), House's best mate (in fact his only mate) & Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), the dean of medicine, try their best to keep House within the boundaries of sanity. The sexual tension between House & Cuddy is something to watch out for!

Although he remains the middle of attention throughout the show, his team (consisting of Dr. Eric Forman, Dr. Robert Chase & Dr. Allison Cameron in the first seasons, & Dr. Hadley (a.k.a Thirteen), Dr. Chris Taub, Dr. Lawrence Kutner, & Dr. Amber Volakis in the latter seasons) add depth & new dimensions to the show.

When I started watching House M.D., i thought it was another doctors film. Then it hit me ! I mean, it hit me! I saw a crippled doctor, wearing no doctor's robe, jogging along a crowded corridor, using his cane as a weapon, complaining about some case with the line that made me stick to this show up to it is fourth season (& hoping for more): "Cancer, she is going to die, boring!". I was one time bewildered.

Granted the show is a tiny over the layman's head, because of all the medical stuff, but the script, the plot ( in the work of the 4th, 5th & 6th seasons) & the acting of each & every character makes up for everything!

& you know what keeps me coming back for more? The fact that he is unpredictable, it is impossible to know what he is about to say, what he is about to do, to think. Don't expect a show with doctors that scream "scalpel", "clear the room", & with lots of blood. It is as much of a narrative about the cases as it is about the characters. In the event you are a who loves the action, the adventure of the discovery, the joys of the puzzle, or in the event you are a who hates doctor shows but has an excellent sense of humor (although everybody can laugh when House responds to "You owe me some clinic hours" with "And you owe me a lap dance") you are the this show is designed for.

Then I saw another episode, & another, & I could not cease watching. for Hugh Laurie I wish this show seldom ends. The humor, the irony, the sarcasm, the crew, the tales, the cases, the episodes, EVERYTHING is entertaining, it is like you get glued to your chair & you keep watching, absorbing every tiny word he says, admiring every joke that he makes.

They are brilliant, both the character & the actor. Hugh Laurie, you have my whole respect!
