Pan Am Season 1 Episode 4 Eastern Exposure

The episode begins with the crew to leave Berlin, most everyone is excited, but Colette seems to harbor some sort of concern, which we soon learn from the fact that she grew up in Nazi occupied France. Karine Vanasse does an excellent job with the material that is done, but ultimately I was indifferent to the real story, even if Vanasse incredibly expressive face that it was investing in the anguish of his character. The problem I had was that this material came seemingly out of nowhere while we have begun to familiarize themselves with the characters in this episode brings us into the deepest emotional before we had the opportunity to engage these people really. If this episode had taken place much later in the season that could have been much more effective simply because there was no need to be told what to feel bad about Colette, simply would have already knew his personality and history. He was also a jolt to the head lighter than the previous two episodes in the memory used deadly serious about the horrors of World War II were the most screen time Colette. If the writing had been more nuanced perhaps this story could have been successful, but never did enough to justify the truth to get down.
