At this point a series that aims to be transmitted as a finite number of episodes is usually called a miniseries or series. In the short run lasting less than a year is known in the United States and Canada as a season and in the UK. This season or series usually consists of 12 to 26 shares in the United States, but in the UK there is no defined length.
